Merry Christmas to me......

Not too many people have a sweet hubby like mine~! I really enjoy getting clothes for gifts but he swore off of buying them for me about 30-something years ago when I took all of the sweater pant sets back after Christmas. It was during the years of "Twiggy" for those of you who were around then. She was a model that weighed all of 78 pounds soaking wet.... And she wore pants and tops that were made of .... well.... sweater material. Knitted and very clingy. Well, those were the days when I weighed a hefty 120 and for some reason even 120 doesn't look good in sweaters! Not the kind I'm talking about. So........ I took them back and Roy's never bought me clothes since~!
He does like to please me though and that he does quite well! He supports me in my music endeavors and this year he bought me a campfire guitar for Christmas and a chromatic harmonica plus several song books.... not to mention my little dog Annie! The campfire guitar is smaller than my Martin and not near as costly. The idea is to be able to take it and play wherever I want to and not have to worry if it should get scuffed up. The chromatic harmonica is different than the 6 or 7 I already have in that it has a little button on the side that shifts a mechanism inside the harmonica and that allows it to play sharps and flats. Very cool~!
I failed to take pictures during our opening of presents and my good buddy, bosom friend Heather said I should at least post the pictures of what I got. So ~ this is for you sweets!

Roy has gotten really good about reading and researching stuff on the Internet. I'm sure somewhere along the way he heard that I'd like to have/try a chromatic harmonica; but I couldn't tell you when. As far as the guitar... he knows I like to take my Martin places... like Texas, last year. I was really nervous and didn't want to 'check' it on the plane for fear of it being damaged. It was by no means cheap. So, he figured a cheaper guitar was the answer to transport! A real sweetie!

As for Twiggy; yes, she was before your time. It's when being a true twig with zero curves, zero b__bs, zero legs was the "in" thing. Twiggy wasn't much to look at.. but she was super skinny~! You'd be considered fat next to Twiggy~! LOL
