This past Saturday most of the family gathered at Faye's house at 2 p.m. for a scrump-dilly-icious ham dinner with plenty of trimmings to make it a true Harville feast!
The reason for the gathering was a sobering one.... Brenda has been diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. Today, being Monday, her chemotherapy treatments began. She is in a lot of pain and knew that with the upcoming days she wouldn't feel like traveling and also not feel like having a lot of company as well. She wanted to come visit while she still felt well enough to do so. And so...............

We spent the day talking with Brenda, listening and sharing, praying and caring. That's what our family is about, that is what we do. Brenda is such a beautiful person, inside and out; and to talk with her only revealed more inner beauty as she talked of being blessed by the family that surrounded her. Sure she has her fears, and yes she dreads the coming days; but she is trusting in God and praying for a special healing touch from Him. Please pray with us for Brenda, Jim and Carson and the rest of the family. Let's ask God for a miracle, He is able; and we pray that it is in H
is will to heal Brenda completely.
