Camping at Brookville with Grandkids!

Me and grandpa decided to take the week before my knee surgery and just have fun... So the first thing we did was take the RV, boat and 3 of the grand kids and head to Brookville lake for 2 nights. We had a ball~! When we first got there the RV park only had a little over a half dozen RV campers. However, before we left the place was nearly full and there were many kids with bikes and so Trent, Jenna and Claire quickly made friends and rode bikes at all hours of the day and night. Below is some of their nighttime riding.
Jenna with her long bacon tongue below and Grandpa and Claire at breakfast the first morning.
The below is just a picture of our neighbors at the park.
There was a beach, and since the weather was in the 90's with about 130% humidity the kids wanted to go cool off. Grandpa is NOT a beach person to begin with and so he decided he and Annie would nap in the coolness of the AC in the motor home while me and the kids went to the beach. It was super hot sitting on the sand watching the kiddos so about an hour and grandma was done beaching too~!
The first morning we went out boating just to ride. The girls were a wee bit nervous at first but soon got very daring and decided it was a fun thing to do. Trent took a dip in the lake to cool off and said the water was great. While moving it was refreshing against the heat.... but in the idle zones it got hot quick and Annie was looking for shade spots within the boat!! She does not like the heat!
We did all fish at one point and I caught a 24 inch catfish, which gramps through back and I caught a white bass, which gramps through back. Grandpa had a bass on but it got off before he could get it in the boat and Trent had something on that was putting up quite a struggle but before it could break the water so we could see what it was it got off. So.... I was the champin' fisher woman!
There is nothing like smelling frying bacon while camping......hmmmmmmm, that is what was for breakfast the second morning, along with eggs and toast and hot coffee. YUM!

Thursday night around the camp fire was great and that night after we retired it began to lightning, thunder and rain.... made for great sleeping! We broke camp and headed home Friday around noon. Trent and the girls all decided we should do this more often. I agree! We had a great time!
