Burritos & Bandido's!

A few months ago my daughter, Christi, asked if I would be willing to host a Murder Mystery Dinner party for her at her house. I had done one of my own once before and it was quite fun so I readily agreed. However.... I didn't realize that the night she chose was during our revival at church nor did I have any way of knowing that I would be miserably sick the full week before the dinner party was to occur. Leaving all details aside I did manage to pull it off and it was quite a success according to all who attended.
This is poor Margarita.... victim to a deadly knife stab to her back. She was a recent widow, with money and had just returned after a 3 year absence with plans to expand the quaint little town of Dios' Mexico into a booming town of prosperity. The Hasta La Vista Cantina was celebrating Fiesta and was decorated for the grand occasion. The tables were set for a meal of enchiladas, refried beans, corn relish, Spanish rice, salad, and Mexican cinnamon brownies.
Many people had gathered for Fiesta ~ including Seargent Honesto Seguro. Warren Peace, a western novel writer for a Japanese publishing company was there.
Windy Skies was a stranded hot air balloonist who had drifted off course and then lost power and landed in Dios' Mexico. A first time visitor to the quaint little town and it's cantina.
Warren was engaged to Senorita Bonita Gonzalas .... the younger sister of Margarita. Warren had previously been in love with Margarita but now found favor with Bonita.
Then there was Kay Pasa, a free lance photographer who had heard the town was getting ready to make a big change and wanted to catch the before and after to publish in one of the many famous magazines that carried her work.
There was Rusty Pick, a gold and silver miner who was faithful to his trusty mule, Montezuma.
Seargent Honesto Seguro was beside himself waiting for back ups to help him solve the murder case and keep all the suspects at hand.
Desert Flower was a medicine woman who practiced healing villagers and those who lived in the surrounding hills with her many potions and self made remedies.
The Cantina was alive with loud Mexican music blaring filling the rooms. There were margaritas, chips and salsa, armadillo eggs, cheese queso, and other treats to tempt the pallet.
Don Juan Diablo, center, was a wealthy land owner that required a body guard, (right) for his safety and protection.
Although Margarita was murdered early in the evening all who were in the cantina were required to stay because each one was a suspect. Each one had reasons to want Margarita dead; and yet each one also had excuses of why they wouldn't have done such a thing. As the night wore on; accusations were made, truth with such things as pages torn from Bonita's diary, photos of Don Juan Diablo meeting with the ban dido gang, FBI arrest warrants against Warren Peace for espionage, letters written by Margarita and more were brought forth as evidence. Until finally the suspect became murderer........ only one person discovered the true killer. The killer was none other than......... well you don't think I'm going to tell you???!!!! If you ever want me to host this for you you mustn't find that out! I've already given more clues than you should know!
The night was grand! Adios' Amigos~!
