Innocent until proven guilty! ~Wow Retreat~

This past weekend was the WOW Retreat in Marengo, Ohio. It's always a wild, fun weekend, with a much needed spiritual emphasis. The Auburn group has been known in the past to be a bit mischievous, but this year they decided to be good and proper. It will be our last, to be innocent, so to speak, because even though we were innocent we were accused and abused as if we had been quilty! We shall plan a good retaliation for next year's WOW retreat.
Rachael McCreery's room was trashed, the beds had been thrown outside and into the falling rain. Auburn's Susan Mullins was seeking some natural deep heating salve for Helen's shoulder and happened to walk in to Rachael's room just as it was being demolished by a couple of girls. Susan immediately left the site and headed back for the Auburn room and began telling us what was going on. The problem is, one of the Auburn girls, I won't mention Debbie's name, but somehow she was asked if she wanted to help and for whatever reason said she would.
We knew we were sure to be blamed for the disaster taking place and so we began to prepare for a retaliation from Rachael's group. We set up a booby-trap at our door so as to sound an alarm to us when someone came in. Debbie, did I say Debbie? Well, yes, Debbie set up the trap, which involved a hang up clothes bag, a metal folding chair and a gallon water jug placed strategically
above our dorm door. All was in place when the dorm mother happened to open our door ..... Oops! ......... Melissa assured her she needn't open the door all the way and that we were fine.
Whew! She left without the water spilling. Clothes hanger and metal chair were placed again in position and just in time! Soon the door flung open ~ and a group of women with pantyhose over their heads and bras strung on their heads came bursting in and they began tearing mattresses from the bunks and tried to pry Melissa from her bunk! Thankfully, Helen grabbed her camera for evidence sake! The rest is sort of history........ We were found innocent, all except Debbie, who says she is only a little guilty. (Oh, please!) The McCreery group apologized for trashing us, the innocent group. The dorm mom, which by the way is the one with her hands to her face, carried our innocence to Lorena to save us. And the actual guilty pair that trashed McCreery's room? Well, next year they will pay. WE have a whole year to plan. Comments are welcome from all of the involved parties. I'm sure I've left something out! You don't go to the WOW Retreat? Well, you don't know what you're missing!

I plead with my group of ladies to forgive and it shall be forgiven thee. I also wanted us to pray for those who persecuted our group and caused such destruction to our humble little room. I tried in vain to convince my roomates that God was the one to avenge. "Vengeance is mine saith the Lord" They then threatened to harm me and forced me to participate. I was really an innocent prisoner.

Rachel- WHATEVER!!!! Innocent prisoner, my foot! We KNOW you were the mastermind. WHOOEEE, that pic of Debbie trying to defend herself just cracks me up every time! We had a great time and the PNG ladies were so neat. This will be one retreat we'll definitely remember for a long time. Next year, we'll be guilty as charged!

As for the charge of holding Rachael prisoner we are innocent.
As for the whole events as they took place there was no innocent person in the McCreery party except for Lori and Latrisha, all I can say is we have a fearless leader. But I would appeal to you to forgive us as it was very late at night and we were easily presuaded to follow, and encouraged to come up with new ideas. So please forgive us for we knew not what we were doing.

Hellen, could you un-invite Ellen Miller?
You have to admit it sounded good! Ok! Ok! I'm guilty!
BUT...
Just think what we could do next year...
IF...
we put our heads together!
Remember ladies, a kingdom divided against itself shall not stand.

And just where are YOU Debbie??? Sorry Rachael, I won't un-invite Ellen, (which IS spelled with 2 "LL's" while Helen IS spelled with 1 "L"):) I think Ellen is a sweetie~ and my shoulder REALLY likes her! This is Debbie what can I say lets start by saying this all started with Helen and my pillow gone. No one in our room knew anything about it. So I went on a mission to find them. First room to look for them was Rachael room. While there two other girls were looking for Rachael asked if I would help, being the helpful type I help. But stop when I figure this was going to far. Susan was the smart one she booked. When I got to the room there on my bed was my pillow. Would you believe our sweet loving leader Melissa took them. Rest is history. But I want to say I am so glad that I went. God is good. I came away with a new comentment to pray pray pray. We need revival. Looking forward to going to camp meeting. Hope to see you there.

My heart agrees with you on the challenge to pray, pray, pray! May the Lord start with us! Revival we need. Lord help me to set aside distractions. Thanks Helllllen for setting up this cool site, I've had fun! Love Ya!

Dearest Helen (with one "L"), all the previous comments and your post make me wish I had been there! Maybe I could have deterred some of you from such horrific mischief...and then again, probably not! Thanks for visiting my new blog! All of your lovely, ornery friends are welcome, too :-)

Well, as I am very sorry that I missed all the mischeif I am sure that Rachel is not innocent! But She makes WOW retreats fun!!! I still get ammused when I think of the first time I ever went and how much trouble I helped Rachel cause. Oops the cat is out of the bag...I helped Rachel. But of course we would never have done anything if someone else would not have started it! Right (-). I am glad you all had fun!
