Back Peddling for A Pitty Party

Everybody loves a party! A pitty party on the otherhand is a bit different and I didn't get the reaction I wanted from Roy so I thought I'd share with my fellow scrap bookers and card makers and get a little honest sympathy from those who would understand.
Saturday night I was in the basement working on Easter bags and cards for my grandchildren. While waiting for my cricut to finish doing it's thing I decided to clean off an area of my work space that had become cluttered. (Imagine that, clutter!) I picked up a couple of shrink wrapped 12x12 packets I had purchased and they were all wet! Thank goodness I thought for the shrink wrap. HOWEVER, under them, there lay my new package of double sided 12x12 paper from SU that had only been opened to show my daughter how beautiful the paper was. Well, it was soaked, every single piece, not a dry spot. And then I saw the worst thing..... A whole pile of cards I had completed. They were wet as well, with ink running together and corners curled up; they were a water ringed mess. I go running upstairs hollering for Roy telling him that I have a disaster on my hands. "The upstairs toilet, above my craft area, was leaking and had made a mess of things down stairs!!!" His only comment was "I don't have time to do anything about it now." No, honey I'm sorry. No pity, no sympathy. So I call my pastor's wife, she'll understand I tell myself. My pastor answers the phone and the first thing he asks is how I'm doing. Smile. "Fine, can I talk to Melissa?" She understood.......... Bless her heart!

I'm so sorry about all the mess you had to clean up. Aren't all men the same, although John has washed dished 3 times now since I started working : man I should have done this sooner. Love You Love Me
